Daniel Faitaua

Daniel Faitaua grew up in Christchurch within a tight-knit Samoan household, where his grandmother's insistence on speaking Samoan at home anchored his cultural roots from an early age. His upbringing in a Pasifika family instilled a deep sense of identity that would later permeate his professional life.

Educated at Catholic Cathedral College, Faitaua went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese and American Studies from the University of Canterbury. He then honed his craft at the New Zealand Broadcasting School (CPIT/Ara), where he developed the skills that would define his career.
