Marc Mero

Marc Mero is a former American amateur boxer, professional wrestler, and motivational speaker. He gained widespread recognition in the wrestling world through his work in WWE under his real name and in WCW and TNA as the charismatic Johnny B. Badd. In 2007, Mero shifted his focus toward philanthropy, founding the nonprofit organization Champion of Choices.

During the early 1990s, Mero made his mark in WCW as Johnny B. Badd, a flashy mid-card performer who captured the World Television Championship on three occasions. Despite his success, creative disagreements led to his departure in 1996. He subsequently joined WWE, debuting at WrestleMania XII and achieving a career milestone by winning the Intercontinental Championship. His tenure also saw a highly publicized on-screen rivalry with his then-wife, Sable, before he exited the company in 1998. Mero later made intermittent appearances in TNA during the mid-2000s, marking his final stint in mainstream professional wrestling.
