Jonathan Dely

Jonathan Dely, an American jazz artist, has established a multifaceted career spanning live performance and screen. His trumpet playing has earned him invitations to perform at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, as well as roles in film and television productions for Netflix and other platforms. SFJAZZ has commended his work, noting that he performs material appealing to fans of Wynton Marsalis' clear tone and Chris Botti's broad stylistic range.

Dely is recognized for his smooth trumpet sound, the adaptability of his highly skilled touring band, and a distinctive live show that both merits and surpasses the "jazz" categorization. He chose to forgo a career on Wall Street in favor of music—a decision that inspired legendary director Bob Giraldi, known for Michael Jackson's "Beat It," to create the 2023 short film *Goodbye Jonathan's Soul*, in which Dely portrays himself.
