Edgardo Lander

Edgardo Lander, born in 1942, is a distinguished Venezuelan sociologist and public intellectual. He holds the title of professor emeritus at the Central University of Venezuela and is a fellow of the Transnational Institute. Over the course of his career, Lander has produced a substantial body of work, including numerous books and scholarly articles. His research interests span democratic theory, the constraints of industrialization and economic growth, and leftist movements across Latin America.
