Born on June 3, 1963, in Belgrade, then part of SFR Yugoslavia, Anica Dobra is a celebrated Serbian actress whose work spans both film and theatre. She made her acting debut as a second-year student in the short film *Pera Panker* (1985), but her breakthrough came two years later with the feature *Život radnika*. That same year, she earned the Best Leading Actress award at the prestigious Pula Film Festival. Dobra went on to star in a string of acclaimed Serbian films, including *Već viđeno* (1987), *Sabirni centar* (1989), *Kako je propao rokenrol* (1989), *Crni bombarder* (1992), *Točkovi* (1998), *Klopka* (2007), *Ljubav i drugi zločini* (2008), *Neko me ipak čeka* (2009), and *Enklava* (2015).

From the 1990s onward, Dobra expanded her reach internationally, appearing in more than 30 films—many from German cinema. Her first international role in *Rosamunde* (1990) earned her the Bavarian Film Award for Best Young Actress.

Alongside her film career, Dobra has performed on stage at Atelje 212, Zvezdara Theatre, and the Yugoslav Drama Theatre. She has also translated Franz Xaver Kroetz’s folk play *Der Drang* from German, showcasing her versatility beyond acting.
