Aaron Schuppan
Aaron Schuppan is a filmmaker whose childhood dream—hatched at age eight as the son of a country minister—was simply to create monster movies. Today, that dream is a reality. Schuppan works as both a director and cinematographer, with a long-standing creative partnership at WeMat Studios. His cinematography for director Alice Maio Mackay, on films such as *T-Blockers* and *The Serpent’s Skin*, has screened at prestigious venues including FrightFest, Fantasia International Film Festival, Salem Horror Fest, and New York’s Museum of Modern Art.
In 2025, Schuppan stepped fully into the director’s chair with his own feature: the sci-fi/horror film *The Reclaimed*, which he also wrote. The project marks a significant milestone in a career built on genre storytelling and visual craft. From rural beginnings to international festival screens, Schuppan continues to bring his lifelong monster-making ambition to life.
