Oki Rengga
Born on June 26, 1990, Indonesian entertainer Oki Rengga Winata has carved a unique path from the football pitch to the comedy stage. Before finding his voice as a comedian, Oki trained as a footballer in Langkat, initially playing as a defender before shifting to goalkeeper—a position that would later become the heart of his comedic material.
His comedy journey began in 2015 when he joined the Stand Up Indo Medan community. What started as casual spectating turned serious when he entered a community competition and took first place, sparking a passion he pursued alongside his football career. Even while playing for Kalteng Putra in Palangka Raya in 2016, he balanced both worlds, performing with the local stand-up community between matches.
Oki's big break came in 2017 when he qualified for the third season of Stand Up Comedy Academy on Indosiar, reaching the top 20. The following year proved pivotal: he earned a golden ticket at the Jakarta auditions for the eighth season of Stand Up Comedy Indonesia on Kompas TV. Placed on Cak Lontong's team, Oki's football-themed routines resonated with audiences, propelling him past more experienced competitors. His defining moment came when he defeated senior comedian Bintang Bete in the top three, advancing to the grand final and ultimately securing the runner-up position.
As Indonesia's first footballer-turned-stand-up comedian, Oki Rengga remains a testament to following unexpected passions wherever they lead.
