Jacob Newton
Jacob Newton’s journey into the performing arts began in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, where he entered the University of Louisville as a theatre major. He quickly landed a role in the season’s first Mainstage production, Alan Ayckbourn’s *Woman in Mind*. Beyond campus, he built an impressive stage résumé with productions such as *Dial M for Murder*, *The Sound of Music*, *Dangerous Liaisons*, and *The Great American Sex Play* with the Actors Theatre of Louisville.
Relocating to Los Angeles, Newton secured his first Taft-Hartley role in the 2009 blockbuster *Star Trek*. His film and theater credits include a range of short films and stage works, most notably *Everything Is Real*—a project he co-wrote and co-produced with Jeff Fukuhara. Additional credits include *Mr. Glitter*, *T.V.*, *Thrifting*, and *Longhorns*. Through these diverse roles, Newton has demonstrated a steady commitment to both independent storytelling and mainstream productions.
