Iolanthe

Iolanthe

1 title Acting

Iolanthe is an actor and writer whose creative roots stretch between Australia and England. Her path to performance began with dance, training at The Place in London with the Shift Contemporary Dance Company, while also gaining recognition as a Foyle Young Poet during her early teenage years. She pursued performing arts throughout secondary school and completed LAMDA examinations before committing fully to acting.

In 2022, Iolanthe graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney. During her time there, she performed in NIDA productions and graduating directors' showcases, and appeared in music videos for Triple J Unearthed artists. Late 2021 brought a pivotal casting: she took on the role of Kara in Darlinghurst Theatre Company's touring production of *Seven Methods of Killing Kylie Jenner*. The production co-headlined seasons at the Eternity Playhouse in Sydney and La Boite in Brisbane throughout 2022, followed by a run at Malthouse Theatre in Melbourne in January 2023.

Iolanthe moves fluidly between stage and screen, and is also developing her own original writing. Her work centers on amplifying stories of the Black diaspora, a focus that shapes both the roles she chooses and the narratives she creates.
