Asabi Goodman

1 title Acting Ohio, USA

Asabi Goodman’s journey into the arts began early, when she joined the All Souls Unitarian Children’s Choir in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at just eight years old. Though performance was a childhood passion, her path initially led elsewhere. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Southern California (USC), where she also helped establish the campus’s first all-female a cappella group, The USC Sirens.

For years, Asabi balanced her creative spirit with a thriving career as a chemical engineer, working with both startups and established corporations across California. That professional chapter eventually carried her overseas to Brisbane, Australia, where she settled in 2008.

Once in Brisbane, Asabi fully embraced her artistic calling, completing an Advanced Diploma in Screen and Stage Acting. Since then, she has built an eclectic portfolio of film work. She appeared as a mother in the music video “So Far” for Brisbane rapper Blaq Carrie, took on the role of Sylvia Bentley in the TropFest 2013 short *Killing Hannah Bentley*, and played a nurse in the 2014 independent feature *Killer Smile*. Most recently, she was cast as an American news anchor in the upcoming independent film *Colourful & Impossible*, slated for release in December 2014. With a unique blend of analytical precision and creative expression, Asabi Goodman continues to carve out a distinctive space in Australia’s independent film scene.
