Chris Benchetler stands as a singular figure in powder skiing—an athlete whose blend of terrain-reading instincts, fearless line choices, and massive aerial maneuvers sets him apart from any imitator.

His distinctive style, whether he's linking pillow lines, carving buttery turns across snow waves, or launching big tricks off towering step-downs, draws admiration from skiers everywhere. A background in park skiing combined with a deep passion for fresh powder molded him into one of the most forward-thinking backcountry skiers the sport has seen.

Beyond his riding, Benchetler helped establish the iconic Nimbus Independent collective, a group that fundamentally reshaped how ski films are made. His extensive work in product development and technology—most notably his signature pro model skis—further cements his status as one of the most influential figures in skiing today.
