Giannis Malouhos
Born in Dimitsana on September 13, 1932, Giannis Malouhos became a distinguished figure in Greek theater and film, leaving an indelible mark on the country’s performing arts. After training at the K. Michaelides School, he forged a long and celebrated collaboration with the National Theatre of Northern Greece (NTNG), where his stage presence earned him widespread acclaim. He was also the brother of fellow actor Vasilis Malouchos, sharing a familial bond within the industry. In his later years, he made Thessaloniki his home, remaining active and cherished in the city’s cultural scene until his passing on May 12, 2024, at the age of 91. His legacy lives on through his powerful performances and his resilience in the face of adversity, embodying the spirit of Greek theater for generations.
