Amy Hayes

Amy Faye Hayes entered the world on November 24, 1973, in Wyandotte, Michigan, the daughter of a broadcaster. During her teen years, this self-proclaimed "guy's girl" excelled as a standout basketball and softball athlete. At 18, she launched a modeling career, eventually working with brands including K-Mart and Saks Fifth Avenue. She also attended the University of Kentucky as a Wildcat before studying at the Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts from 1994 to 1995.

Before making history as boxing's first female ring announcer, Hayes worked as a disc jockey at a Flint, Michigan radio station and served as a boxing ring-card girl. Her groundbreaking announcing career includes calling fights for ESPN2, contributing an online sports column, and appearing regularly on Fox Sports Net's Sunday Night Fights. In 2005, she earned the title Miss Cobra Seats. Hayes has posed for publications such as "Maxim," "Mystique," and "Playboy," and she also has an acting credit in the film "Mountain Mafia."
