Nia grows up in a broken home with a mother who spends her nights in bars and drifts from one man to another, and Nia seems destined for the same path. Everything changes when Marshal, who runs a neighborhood bar, teaches her how to play pinball. She picks it up fast and soon masters the game, gaining a real shot at escaping her mother's shadow.
