Wayne Wenders, an actor barely scraping by, faces yet another overdue rent notice and reluctantly applies for a job teaching Shakespeare at a nearby high school. To his own surprise, he discovers a genuine passion for the classroom—and starts falling for Amy, a fellow English teacher.
