Doug and Valerie made a terrible call. Their bitter fixation on the neighbors below—perpetual karaoke blasting from that brownstone, seriously, who does that?—drove them to abandon their rent-stabilized gem and crash at his folks’ place upstate. Now their friends are appalled, and regret’s creeping in fast. So they hatch a scheme for payback, and before they realize it, they’re producing an off-Broadway show with their rival as the unwitting star.
