The Last Jiangshi (2025)

Chinese folklore holds that the corpse-driving rites of Xiangxi gave rise to the jiangshi—the hopping vampire of legend. In 1985, Mr. Vampire carried that creature onto cinema screens and turned it into a cultural icon. More than thirty years on, with the genre fading from memory, The Last Jiangshi (originally titled China’s Last Vampire) reveals that the only known jiangshi still surviving in the modern world is Old Li.
