Kishanlal weds the lovely Lachchi, yet departs on business the very next morning, promising a five-year absence. Days later, he suddenly returns, and Lachchi is overjoyed—but this man is not her husband. A spirit, smitten after glimpsing her, has stolen his form. For four years, he plays the devoted spouse.
