Will opts to enhance his culinary abilities by enrolling in a cooking class and asks Jack to join him. However, when Jack brings along his new boyfriend, Will ends up feeling lonely among a sea of couples in the class. Meanwhile, Karen's mother, Lois, makes a return to town, causing a bit of unease for Karen. She also reaches out to Grace, hoping to utilize her knack for budget-friendly design to spruce up her new apartment.
