Dr. Rodney McKay is compelled to come back to Earth, where he faces the success of his competitor, Dr. Malcolm Tunney. However, his visit takes a dire turn when he must assist in disabling a perilous weather-controlling device that malfunctions catastrophically. As the situation escalates, McKay must put aside his rivalry and collaborate to avert disaster.
