Carter faces a challenging day as he is tasked with identifying a deceased teenager and breaking the heartbreaking news to the family. Unfortunately, he mistakenly approaches the wrong parents. Meanwhile, Doug makes romantic advances toward Carol, even with Taglieri still in the picture. Tensions rise when Benton confronts his brother-in-law Walt over his failure to fulfill family responsibilities.
