Following his mother's passing, Dr. Greene provides support to his father in San Diego. Meanwhile, in Chicago, Romano catches Corday off guard by promoting her to associate chief of surgery. Corday also takes on the case of Elaine, who is Carter's partner, as she battles breast cancer.
