Pepper uncovers damaging information about a well-known politician in an effort to win a bet against Babcock. However, she soon feels remorse as the candidate's poll numbers plummet. Wanting to make amends, she investigates further and starts to develop a connection with him. At the same time, Kathy plots to reclaim her position when the unpleasant ex-receptionist comes back from maternity leave, creating tension in the workplace.
