Richard receives a proposal for early retirement, leading him to contemplate the prospect of being at home with Hyacinth all day. Meanwhile, Emmet becomes furious when Hyacinth insists on rehearsing a performance for the elderly at the Church Hall alongside him. In the midst of the chaos, a sedated Rose unexpectedly shows up, expressing her desire to join a convent.
