A fugitive wanted for murder and theft breaks out of prison and finds his way to Medicine Bow, where he forms a bond with Stacey during a brawl. He takes a job as a ranch hand at Shiloh, catching Elizabeth's attention. Meanwhile, Stacey remains skeptical about his true intentions.
