Welcome to 1950s Japan, where the post-war boom is in full swing—but not for the Sunflower Circus. Strapped for cash, ringmaster Maria leads her struggling troupe from town to town, fighting for a chance to perform at the Circus Collection, an elite international festival. Everything changes when circus prodigy Mizuka Tsurumaki joins their ranks. Suddenly, the Sunflower Circus has real hope, finally inching closer to the big top glory they've been chasing.
