Following the enigmatic fire that engulfs the cherished Landmark Movie Theater in Memphis, Rice takes the opportunity to hone her investigative abilities by teaming up with Whitehead on the case. At the same time, Dwight and Paula journey to New Orleans to confront the individual responsible for shooting Dwight’s father. Dwight is resolute in his quest for closure, hoping to dispel his doubts regarding his father's potential corruption as a police officer.
