In 1969, Frankie makes her way back to Chicago, eager to pursue a career in standup comedy. However, she finds herself entangled in the poignant and humorous trial of the notorious Chicago Seven. Meanwhile, in Vietnam, McMurphy strives to assist Dodger in persuading Montagnard tribespeople to leave their homes amidst the turmoil.
