After an architect takes his own life, Sam and Dean uncover a disturbing pattern: several other accomplished individuals have met the same fate in the past year. Investigating further, they discover that these individuals had all made deals with a "crossroad demon," trading their souls for success. As the brothers delve deeper into this sinister connection, they race against time to confront the demon and save any remaining victims from a similar tragic end.
