Brackman finds himself overly excited about his judicial appointment until a mocking parrot brings him back to reality. Meanwhile, Kelsey defends a psychiatrist facing a civil lawsuit for failing to prevent one patient from murdering another, only to be shocked when her client confesses to the crime, jeopardizing her belief that the wrong person was convicted. Markowitz steps in to shield Gianelli from Brackman's anger. A wealthy woman bids on an evening with Becker at a charity auction, determined to make the most of her investment. Meanwhile, McKenzie hires ambitious attorney Jonathan Rollins despite Brackman's concerns about salary issues affecting the team, while Sifuentes contends with a rival adept at manipulating the jury in a challenging product liability case.
