Markowitz receives disheartening news during his appointment with a fertility doctor. Meanwhile, Melman struggles to adjust to the demands of married life, but finds clarity after receiving sage advice from Becker. Kuzak takes on a pro-bono case from the overburdened public defenders, only to find himself representing an accused rapist with a history of violence and previous convictions. Becker faces frustration when his client retracts her complaint, shattering his aspirations for a landmark case, and seeks solace from Ryan, who is unable to provide the support he needs. Meanwhile, Perkins decides to leave the firm and pursue a solo practice.
