Following his retirement, a man purchases a duplex and leases one side to a distressed family. When he intervenes with his firearm to oust the abusive husband, he finds himself drawn to the wife who remains. However, things take a sinister turn when the husband reemerges, leading to a deadly confrontation that puts everyone at risk.
