After Bender suffers a life-altering injury in a freak can opener mishap, he uncovers his talent for playing the washboard and decides to join Beck's folk-rock band, becoming a spokesperson for robots facing adversity. Fry, Leela, Amy, and Zoidberg hop into Fry's vintage 1960s VW Van to accompany him on his musical journey.
