Michelle Simms once thrived as a talented dancer with hopes of a bright future, but the allure of Las Vegas lured her in. Now in her 30s, she finds herself stuck in a lackluster showgirl job, while her persistent admirer, Hubbell Flowers, seems to be thriving. Promising her a luxurious life in his coastal hometown of Paradise, CA, Hubbell persuades Michelle to marry him and relocate. However, upon arriving, she learns that Hubbell lives with his domineering mother, Fanny Flowers, who is far from thrilled about her son’s impulsive marriage to a stranger.
