As the family gets ready for Thanksgiving dinner to give Cate a well-deserved break, she finds herself with free time until she unexpectedly brings home a surprise guest during her errands. Meanwhile, C.J. is busy deep-frying the turkey, while Bridget and Kerry engage in a playful argument over whose pie recipe is better. Jim, on the other hand, is preoccupied with taking apart the TV in hopes of fixing it.
