A devastating explosion in a dilapidated barn puts Horatio and his team in grave danger moments after they uncover a deceased man, restrained with duct tape. The investigation intensifies for Horatio when he realizes that the prime suspect had a connection to his deceased brother. Simultaneously, Alexx is taken aback to find out that her best friend's husband has been killed, seemingly a casualty of an unprovoked shooting.
