Ace battles Smoker as the Straw Hats make a dash for their ship. Luffy finally encounters his brother, who has become part of the Whitebeard Pirates after departing from home. Ace is on a quest to find a former crewmate named Blackbeard, the one responsible for the death of another crew member.
