Kate suspects she might be expecting but soon discovers she isn’t. This revelation leads her to the firm conclusion that motherhood is not in her future. In contrast, Drew realizes that becoming a father is his ultimate dream. Their differing desires spell the end of their relationship. Meanwhile, Mr. Wick confronts the threat of deportation and must quickly secure a marriage. Struggling to find a willing partner, he ultimately opts to wed a man in Vermont, where same-sex civil unions have just been legalized.
