After years of separation, Elisabeth and Frank rekindle their tumultuous relationship, much to the concern of Elisabeth's mother, Cheri. As their toxic dynamic spirals out of control, it culminates in a catastrophic fire. In the aftermath, one of them is found lifeless while the other faces imprisonment, leaving Cheri to grapple with the tragic consequences of their reunion.
