Upon returning to Los Angeles from her volunteer work in New Orleans, Joan is resolved to mend the fractured bonds with her friends Maya, Lynn, and, above all, Toni. With a renewed sense of purpose, she embarks on a journey of reconciliation, hoping to heal the rifts that have formed and restore the connections that mean the most to her.
