On July 2, 1994, while trying to land at Charlotte/Douglas International Airport amidst a severe thunderstorm, USAir Flight 1016 experiences a stall and tragically crashes into a nearby neighborhood. The devastating incident results in the loss of 37 lives out of the 57 passengers and crew aboard.
