Jim is confident about clinching victory in the annual hot dog eating contest, but his pride takes a hit when he is unexpectedly bested by a petite woman named Suzy Nakamura. To make matters worse, his disappointment deepens when Andy chooses to pursue a romantic relationship with the new champion. Jim grapples with his loss and the added sting of seeing his friend date the competitor who overshadowed him at the event.
