Jim's buddy, U.S. Marshal Roger Corman, is murdered in a car explosion just moments before he can disclose the identity of a corrupt marshal he has discovered. With the task of uncovering the traitor now on his shoulders, Ellison struggles to proceed when the investigation is taken over by the U.S. Marshals themselves, leaving him with limited options.
