Officers are in hot pursuit of suspects wielding a crowbar and an air rifle after they mugged a civilian, prompting the police helicopter to join the chase when it veers off-road. PCs John Douglas and Joe Gorman notice a BMW speeding away, and as they follow, they see sparks flying from the severely worn rear tire. Meanwhile, in Hull, PCs Susan Scott and Rich Starkie hurry to respond to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
