On a Sunday evening, Cheshire Police receive a call from Mark Moran, representing the Veterans Association, a charitable organization. He expresses concern that the charity's founder, ex-soldier Mark Smith, has been missing for nearly a day after having a heated dispute with his wife, Denise.
