The first true day of summer arrives, and Belly, along with her brother Steven and their mom Laurel, makes their way to Cousins Beach to visit Susannah Fisher, who is like a second mother to Belly, and her sons, Conrad and Jeremiah. Belly has been visiting Cousins her whole life, but this summer seems to hold a new significance for her. The signs become clear right from their first night there, confirming that this season will be unlike any other.
