During a Thanksgiving flashback in 1985, college student Grace brings her boyfriend Will home to introduce him to her family. Their relationship takes an unexpected turn when a troubled Will reaches out to a young Jack for guidance. Things escalate when Will accidentally reveals a secret, leading to a heated confrontation with Grace, who then demands he leave her house—and her life—causing a rift between them.
