During a Thanksgiving flashback in 1985, college student Grace brings her boyfriend Will home to meet her family. However, their relationship takes an unexpected turn when Will, feeling uncertain, reaches out to a young Jack for guidance. The situation escalates when Will accidentally reveals something important, leading to a furious Grace who decides to kick him out of her house—and out of her life, at least for the time being.
