Kogami, on the hunt for Makishima, brings Tsunemori to meet his old mentor, Jouji Saiga, who offers her a quick lesson in criminal profiling. However, Ginoza harshly scolds her, sparking a heated exchange. Later, Masaoka sheds light on Ginoza's behavior by sharing insights from his past. Meanwhile, Makishima engages in a philosophical conversation with Senguji, who previously revealed that he is almost entirely a cyborg. Senguji then provides Makishima with his next target: Shinya Kougami.
