The Porters rally a group of volunteers to finalize their self-sustaining farm project. Following a fierce storm, Sam and his son assist their neighbor Stuart in recovering his submerged skiff, leading the trio to collaborate on repairing the community work float. Meanwhile, Curly embarks on his inaugural king salmon fishing expedition. As the challenges mount, Mary confronts her declining health and the difficult decision of traveling to civilization for a doctor's appointment.
